1. Identification
The website is the responsibility of Carlos Piedade, Osteopath D.O., professional licence no. 100452, with practice at Rua João de Deus no. 76, 2nd floor, room F, São João da Madeira, Portugal. Contact: osteopata@carlospiedade.pt · 963 713 341 · 911 158 230.
Clinical activity takes place at the clinics in São João da Madeira, Santa Maria da Feira, Vale de Cambra, Aveiro and Válega, at the times agreed when booking.
2. Purpose of the website
The site informs about the osteopathy practised by Dr Carlos Piedade, publishes articles and makes it easier to get in touch to book an appointment. It does not replace in-person assessment, diagnosis or treatment. Contents are informative and general in nature.
3. Bookings
An appointment may be requested by the phone numbers indicated, the website form or the Setmore platform. A request does not guarantee a slot until the practice confirms it. You must provide true and up-to-date details. Cancellations and changes should be communicated as early as possible, through the same channels.
4. Care and clinical limits
Osteopathy does not, by itself, replace hospital emergency care or other specialties when the clinical picture so requires. In an emergency, contact emergency services. The Osteopath may advise referral to another specialty after assessment.
5. Patient reviews
Reviews submitted through the site are moderated before publication. The practice may refuse texts that are offensive, unlawful, that identify third parties without need, or that do not reflect a real experience. By sending a review you authorise its publication on the site, with the name you give, until you ask for it to be removed.
6. Intellectual property
Texts, images, logo and other site content belong to Carlos Piedade or are used with permission. Reproduction, copying or commercial use is not allowed without written authorisation, except quotation rights under the law.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the site to send spam, unlawful content, third-party data without grounds, or to attempt access to restricted areas. Forms include anti-abuse measures.
8. Third-party links and services
The site may link to external services, including Setmore booking. Those services have their own terms and policies, for which the practice is not responsible.
9. Limitation of liability
The practice seeks to keep information accurate and the site available, but does not guarantee the absence of errors, interruptions or occasional outdated content. Liability for damage arising from use of the site is limited to what Portuguese law does not allow to exclude.
10. Website development

11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Failing agreement, the courts of the São João da Madeira district have jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumer-protection rules that may apply.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows the version in force. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new version.
