The body as a whole
Treatment, as in anamnesis, is integral. The Osteopath treats the body as a whole at a general level, where neuro-musculoskeletal and functional balance is the main concern.

The hands are the Osteopath’s main tool of action. Through manipulations, stretches, elongations and specific myofascial techniques applied to the areas in imbalance, the respective dysfunctions are corrected.
There is no “localised” area of intervention, because the patient’s whole organism must be balanced at a general level in Osteopathy treatment, which afterwards wakes by itself into a process of self-healing, which we call homeostasis.
In other words I can illustrate that when there is a block, articular, neurological, venous or lymphatic, the organ and area in question enter pathological disharmony. When we release those blocks the organism assumes new functions for its self-healing, without needing other invasive methods of intervention such as surgery, chemicals etc.
